MMMMMMMM!

Dylan loves to eat - I mean LOVES to eat!  Eating with him is probably the funniest part of our day, he gets so excited!  He waves his arms and legs like crazy and says MMMMMMMM and squeals with delight.  The video below is from Wasabi sushi restaurant, where Dylan ate an entire appetizer worth of Terriyaki chicken and a bowl of miso soup.  At the end of the meal, people came over to our table to tell us how much they enjoyed watching him eat, haha.  Guess it's better than the alternative!

Some of Dylan's fav foods these days:
Salmon (#1)
chicken
cheese
eggs
turkey
ham
banana
yogurt
beef
lasagna
pretty much anything we eat!

HI and LIGHT

HI and LIGHT ....we hear these words all day long! Dylan will say hi to everyone in the room about 50 times and then will point out every light to you.  So for a special treat, we went to the light section at Home Depot (we were definitely already there for other things).  You would have thought Dylan was in Disneyland, he was SO excited.  "Light, light, light...."   He's a chatterbox but most of what he says we can't understand yet. But we know hi and light quite well :)

Fall fun

So happy that the weather has stayed nice for longer than usual this fall.  Dylan loves to be outside, and really loves his tricycle the we got him for his birthday.  Here are a few pics from one of our rides.

Thanksgiving

Turkey for me, Turkey for you, ....Turkey for Dylan!  It's crazy to me that this was Dylan's second Thanksgiving - time goes by so fast!  Last year he was in a preemie outfit with a turkey on the butt, and this year he was gobbling down tons of turkey at the table with everyone else. The kid loves food, so needless to say, he enjoyed the day.  He ate a ton!  He loved all of the staples - turkey, potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and especially the sweet potato pie made by Aunt Julie!

Maybe the funniest part of the day was his reaction to cousin Cole.  He LOVED Cole, and constantly wanted to hug and kiss him.  It was adorable! I wish they lived in the same city so they could grow up being buddies.

We are so thankful for our family and friends who love Dylan so much! He is one lucky kiddo!

Sarah (and mike) in Seattle

Happy birthday to me! Since we didn't really celebrate my 30th birthday much last year because of having a newborn, we decided to take a long weekend trip to Seattle for my 31st birthday.  We really didn't care where we went, but it was as cheap to fly to Seattle as it was to go to Chicago, so off to the rainy city we went.  It's one of the places I've always wanted to go, but have never been.  Mike has been for work before.  We had a great weekend wandering around the city, eating, drinking, and shopping! The underground tour was awesome, as was the market, the space needle, new ferris wheel, and the Chahuli garden! What was not so awesome were the unexpected hills - who knew Seattle is just as hilly as San Fran?!  Anyway, we had fun, and Dylan had fun with the Grandparents :)  Bringing a stroller around that city would have been miserable so thanks Grandma's and Grandpa's for watching the D man.

Halloween

Dylan was a sea turtle for Halloween this year.  We didn't really go Trick or Treating, just made the rounds to the grandparents' houses and a quick trip to the Crestmont Circle bonfire to say hi.  No candy (to my dismay), but he looked super cute in his costume!
